Services included providing footage of ongoing construction of the site for the Viaduct Greenway and using them to represent the project in it’s conceptual stage to communite the clients vision. Tasks included planning and flying drone missions as pilot in command, utilizing LAANC authorizations, coordination with project managers, and webbased drone management software to catalog mission details. In addition, working closely with SRDC, we highlighted the importance of this project. Through this process, a coherent preview of the park becomes a compelling tool for fundrasing and community engagement. The video blends art direction with storytelling to make an impactful experience for potential donors to the project.
This aerial video utilizes my multidiciplinary practice of drone operation, cinematography, sound engineering, and music composition to effectively translate and propose a complex construction project into a visually captivating, informative experience, designed to raise millions of dollars in funding. The music was composed using acoustic and electronic elements to evoke the past and present and add emotional depth to the impact this project could have on the city.

The next phase of The Rail Park, the “Viaduct Greenway”, will convert an abandoned railroad viaduct, 6.8 acres of brownfields that run for 6/10th of a mile from Vine Street to Fairmount Avenue, into an elevated park that links diverse neighborhoods together, connecting them to downtown with an active transportation trail. Initial improvements that link to Phase I of The Rail Park at Callowhill Street, include environmental remediation, structural repairs, a linear trail with basic lighting and safety elements and multiple points of access, with more amenities designed in partnership with adjacent community groups.
