For this interactive museum installation Your Fieldtrip™, I was responsible for the complete rebranding and visual development of an arcade-style, 4K game experience at the Fairmount Water Works. Museum goers were invited to learn about the Schuylkill River’s river characters by using a joystick to “fly” down the river to an envisioned living shoreline restoration project. The goals of the living shoreline are to improve resilience to sea level rise, improve water quality, and enhance the habitats for coastal plants and animals.
I directed and established a cohesive visual style tailored to the museum’s mission and audiences as well as designed vivid, engaging sequences to introduce the game, its objectives, and the various character interactions. Bringing the river ecosystem to life, including designing a finale where a living shoreline restoration project is imagined through playful, childlike animations. Additionally, I composed and recorded an original soundtrack for the game, recorded and edited voiceover performances for narration, and added sound effects throughout.
This project was completed on a tight deadline, requiring creative problem-solving and efficient collaboration with stakeholders to deliver a polished final product on time. It reflects my ability to merge storytelling with design and animation, showcasing skills at all stages of producition.
